SATURDAY IN THE PARK AFTER PARTY!
06.11.08 - The official After Party for Saturday in the Park will be held at The Patio this year. The Patio is located on 20th and Pierce Streets on the north side of Sioux City. BIG SAM’S FUNKY NATION will be rocking the house beginning about 10:00 pm. They are also playing the main stage at the Grandview Park Bandshell earlier in the day as part of the SITP festival. Many great bands have played the After Party over the past few years, like Robert Randolph, Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles and New Monsoon. Join the SITP committee and finish your day at an intimate show with one of the hottest street dance bands in New Orleans, Funky Nation. Big Sam, formerly of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band leads this talented group of musicians. His up-tempo style refuses to let the audience sit down. Their horn-heavy dance beat will have the Patio jumpin’ from the first note. This party is one of the highlights of Saturday in the Park, you don’t want to miss.
